Approach

Before weddings, I spent more than a decade photographing landscapes. That is still how I see a wedding day: two people inside a place that is much older and much larger than the day itself, and the job is to hold both in the same frame.

The work is documentary. I do not pose couples through their own day or ask for a moment to happen twice. My part is to build a space comfortable enough that you forget the camera is there, and then to photograph what actually happens in it.

Every day is carried on digital and 35mm film together, with Super 8 and Polaroids when a couple wants them. Based in Nashville, and glad to travel anywhere the two of you want to stand.
